MEETING MINUTES October 27, 2015
$900.When the contributions were received, we understood that such contributions were allowable when made to community
organizations whose mission was to support excellence and high quality education in the Reynoldsburg Schools, and in doing so
restore the faith of parents and teachers in our schools.
Questions have been raised about the propriety of the contributions received from Friends of Reynoldsburg Schools.Raider Strong
vigorously believes that the contributions were valid and were neither made nor received with any questionable purpose. Thus Raider
Strong disagrees with the questioning of these donations.
Raider Strong’s executive board has been a good steward of monies donated to us.No endorsed candidate was monetarily supported
by Raider Strong, and all costs for Raider Strong activities have since been recouped through contributions of generous community
supporters. As a result, the initial contribution amount of $900 remains in our account. In the interest of this issue not becoming a
distraction from our vision, the executive board has elected to donate $900 back to the Friends of Reynoldsburg Schools fund.
Raider Strong deeply thanks our supporters, and will continue to move forward to engage the community in ways that will foster and
improve excellence in the Reynoldsburg Schools and strive to open communications between the School District, the City of
Reynoldsburg and the citizens of Reynoldsburg.”

Summary of the Reynoldsburg community education meeting that was held August 5th.
Jeanette Kuder and Beth Broadnax welcomed all those who attended and laid out the meeting parameters. It was clear that most people had attended because they feel a need for a stronger community voice - a forum or group that aims for constructive neutrality, is solution focused, and above all wants what is best for our children.
The first part of the meeting was devoted to information updates from people who have had recent active involvement in discussions or efforts related to the current contract negotiations. The network of those people and efforts, including the FFT Facebook site, was acknowledged and greatly appreciated. The consensus was that we could be stronger at this point by working together under an umbrella group that could be best represented by a website. Having a central point of information for the wider community would be critical. At the end of the meeting, the name, Community Association for Reynoldsburg Education CARE) was agreed upon.
The group felt that the work of CARE could be seen in two phases:
a. community information and support during the current contract negotiation stage, and
b. a long term constructive community forum devoted to ensuring the quality of education in Reynoldsburg.
3 main actions were requested:
1. Create a set of Top Ten information bullet points for community members (Beth Thompson was creating this.)
2. Find a person willing to create a website. A contact was found immediately through FFT; a meeting will be held shortly to outline the site.
3. Identify a regular meeting time so momentum can be maintained. The first Tuesday of each month was suggested as a way to echo the monthly school board meeting. The FFT site will survey preferences.
The second half of the evening was spent in identifying working groups that could channel the swell of interest and support. Those names and contact information are attached. If you signed up for a group, please feel free to start working immediately with others in your Working Group. If you did not identify a specific interest, please consider joining one and contacting others in that group to let them know of your interest.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD IN ANY WAY YOU CAN.
Quality Matters! We CARE! Do you?
